PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for adhesion and joining to obtain the high accuracy of adhesion and joining without decreasing the controlling property of position control which uses the hardening shrinkage of an energy ray hardening adhesive. SOLUTION: In the method for position-controlled adhesion and joining to control the stress added to an adhering substance 2 induced by hardening shrinkage force at a plurality of hardening positions 4 which contributes to joining the object 1 and the adhering substance 2, hardening energy is added to an energy ray hardening adhesive 3 during controlling positions in the plane except the part which flows into the gap between the contact faces of the object 1 and the adhering substance 2 so as to harden the adhesive while controlling the relative positions of the object 1 and the adhering substance 2.
