PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To concurrently perform a plurality of processes in parallel by operating image data on a data bus line in a time division manner in an image processing system appropriate for a printer (MFP: multi-function printer) having various functions. SOLUTION: An asynchronous stream packet of P1394a is used to designate a different channel for each image output device, and image data can be transferred in the time division manner. When at least one of devices on an image data bus 151 corresponds to an isochronous resource manager, a channel can be secured for each image output device. An FCU 130, a scanner 110 and a printer controller 210 operate as image output devices, and these image output devices secure the channel from a commander unit 230 that becomes the isochronous resource manager. Before respective jobs of copy, print-out, FAX transmission, FAX reception and network scan, a band is secured and when each process is completed, the secured band is returned.
