PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely detect a positional shift of light beams at a low cost. SOLUTION: A reference part 12 is set at a rotary driven drum 3. The reference part 12 makes the light beams emitted from a recording means 5 enter a photo-detecting means 6 with intensity different from that of the other part on the drum 3. An optical map is formed, in which the intensity of light beams irradiated by the recording means 5 and detected by the photo-detecting means 6 is related to a scanning position at the time. The optical map is compared with a reference optical map preliminarily stored in a storage part, whereby positional shift information of the light beams is acquired. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
