COMBINED SENSOR SYSTEM FOR DETECTING AMBIENT LIGHT AND RAIN

A combining-type sensor system for ambient light and rain detection is provided to detect surface humidity and ambient light. A combining-type sensor system for ambient light and rain detection has a first sensor device for detecting raindrops on a surface and a second sensor device for measuring the strength of ambient light. The first sensor device includes radiation-transmitting units(2). The radiation-transmitting unit emits radiation to the surface to make radiation reflected toward a radiation-receiving unit(10) from a reflection spot(11) of the surface. The existence of raindrops on the surface is detected according to the strength of the reflected radiation. The second sensor device includes optical sensors(13) for measuring the strength of optical radiation coming out of a specific direction. The sensor system is arranged in one housing. The second sensor device is shielded from the radiation emitted by the radiation-transmitting unit and/or the optical radiation projected from not the specific direction but a direction by a screen film(15).
