<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the variance and unevenness of the rotation of a photoreceptor by suppressing a quick variance of a load of the photoreceptor, resulting from acceleration and deceleration of a developing roll. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming device is provided with an image carrier 3 having a latent image formed thereon and developing means 6 and 8 having a developing roll 6a which is rotationally driven by a stepping motor to carry a developer, and developing the latent image and develops the latent image formed on the image carrier 3 by the developing means 6 and 8 and transfers the developed developer image to a medium in a transfer position to form an image. In this image forming device, the developing roll 6a is abutted to the image carrier 3 by a roll arranged on the same axis and rotates at a prescribed rotation speed higher than the rotation speed of the image carrier 3 to develop the latent image, and the developing roll 6a is rotationally driven by the stepping motor so that at least one acceleration on the way of deceleration from the prescribed rotation speed, stop, and acceleration to the prescribed rotation speed is made lower in a rotation speed region of the image carrier than those in regions preceding and succeeding this rotation speed region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
