PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide color photosensitive material which ensures improved stability in manufacture and suppresses lowering of concentration particularly in stagnation of a coating liquid and stably obtains high image density even by high illumination exposure. SOLUTION: In the silver halide color photosensitive material having on a reflective support at least one yellow developing photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer, at least one magenta developing photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer and at least one cyan developing photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer, the yellow developing photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer comprises a silver halide emulsion containing an iridium complex represented by formula (1): [Ir(H<SB>2</SB>O)<SB>n</SB>X<SB>p</SB>Y<SB>6-n-p</SB>]<SP>m</SP>and also comprises a dye forming coupler represented by formula (a-1) or formula (a-2).
