PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrugate fin for an evaporator having good water drainage property of condensed water, and also an evaporator. SOLUTION: This is an evaporator provided with a plurality of refrigerant flowing bodies 4 arranged in parallel and a corrugate fin 5 for an evaporator arranged between the adjacent refrigerant flowing bodies 4. A water drain groove 33 extending in the longitudinal direction is formed in a center part of a ventilating direction of the refrigerant flowing bodies 4. The corrugate fin 5 comprises a wave head part, a wave bottom part 5b and a connecting part 5c connecting the wave head part and the wave bottom part 5b. One valley part 35 is formed in a center part of an air flowing direction of the connecting part 5c. The corrugate fin 5 is arranged so that a valley bottom portion 35a of the valley part 35 in the connecting part 5c is in a position corresponding to the water drain groove 33. The connecting part 5c is provided with a slant part 36 slanting downward from the upstream end of the ventilating direction toward the valley bottom portion 35a of the valley part 35 and a slant part 37 slanting downward from the downstream end of the ventilating direction toward the valley bottom portion 35a of the valley part 35.
