PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a starting device which has a structure of interlocking a manual operation part with an electromotive part and, if the electromotive part is stuck by corrosion or the like due to salt water of a speedboat racing lake or the like, cannot be operated manually. SOLUTION: This starting device of a racing boat comprises the electromotive part having a solenoid, a core, a plunger, a coil, a flange, a seal rubber, and a hook fastener rod; and the manual operation part having a hook fastener, a parallel pin, a stopper, a motor hook holder set, a motor hook, an L-shaped lever, and a return spring; is regularly automatically started by energizing the electromotive part; however, when the electromotive part breaks down and is stuck, can be started by the operation of the manual operation part.
