<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital communication apparatus capable of maintaining communication quality by eliminating sound delay. <P>SOLUTION: The digital communication apparatus includes a transmission means and a reception means, the transmission means including: a microphone 11 for picking up voice; a voice input circuit 12 for converting the picked-up voice into an electric signal; an A/D converter section 13; a voice coding section 14; a packet data transmission section 15 for transmitting coded data in a form of packets; and a network output circuit 16 connecting to a digital communication network 26, and the reception means including: a network input circuit 17 connected to the digital communication network 26; a packet data reception section 18 for receiving packet data; a fluctuation absorbing buffer section 19 for applying fluctuation absorbing processing to the data; a voice decoding section 20; a D/A converter section 21; a voice output circuit 22 for converting an analog signal into voice; and a speaker 23 for outputting the voice, and the reception means is furthermore provided with a measuring section 24 for measuring an A/D conversion time and a D/A conversion time and configured to reduce the D/A conversion time so that the D/A conversion time is shorter than the A/D conversion time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
