PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To customize the display configuration of vehicle information by his own hands of a user while ensuring the observance of regulations and safety in the vehicle travel. SOLUTION: A verifying program for performing the judgement whether a customized display specification conflicts with regulations or not judges the propriety of the customized display specification which is prepared by the user. When the customization cannot be allowed because, e.g., a tachometer which is laid out at the upper right area interferes with a steering wheel, a screen for visually displaying the state is displayed, and at the same time, a character display for indicating that the display specification cannot be allowed is performed.
