PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent housing container which can simultaneously satisfy both of incompatible requirements for a conventional housing container such as a sufficiently effective utilization of the housing space and the simplicity of the housing/taking-out work for an article, by an extremely simple constitution. SOLUTION: This drawer type housing container comprises a box-shape drawer 7 which forms the housing space having an opening on the top, and a housing container main body 1 which houses the drawer 7 freely movably in the longitudinal direction. The drawer type housing container is constituted in such a manner that when the drawer 7 is located ahead, the upper opening is exposed to open the housing space, and a content can be taken out from the top, and when the drawer 7 is located behind, the upper opening is closed, and the housing space is sealed. In the drawer type housing container, by constituting the front plate 9 of the drawer 7 to be freely openable/closable, another means to open the housing space of the drawer 7 by opening the front plate 9 is imparted to realize the constitution.
