<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system capable automatically selecting an image forming apparatus at a position near a PC and by which a job currently held is terminated earliest by a server and informing the PC of it before transmitting printing data from the PC. <P>SOLUTION: The server is provided with a selection means for selecting a plurality of image forming apparatuses near the PC based on a relay station where a printing instruction is received when only the printing instruction is transmitted from the PC and a notification means for selecting the image forming apparatus by which the job currently held is terminated earliest among the image forming apparatuses based on job information which the plurality of image apparatuses selected by the selection means currently hold and notifying the PC of it. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
