<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer-containing composition having an excellent properties for recording prints and specifically an ink composition, where a block polymer capable of finely dispersing a functional material, especially a coloring material, in a solvent is used. <P>SOLUTION: The block polymer contains a repeating unit structure in at least one segment, wherein the repeating unit contains an ester part bonded in a forward direction to the main chain through a linking group of 2 or more atoms. The above polymer has the molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of 1.3 or less. The polymer-containing composition comprises the above block polymer, a solvent or a dispersion medium and a functional substance.
