<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a program for generating translation patterns making it possible to translate a variety of expressions to be translated using a small number of translation patterns. <P>SOLUTION: The device 1 for generating translation patterns includes a means 22 for creating templates of a lisp language generalized as to expressions and an opposite language; a means 23 for generating one cluster from a plurality of clusters including the templates of the same content; a means 24 for specifying the cluster of the opposite language associated with the one cluster; a means 25 for obtaining differences in expressions among the clusters and then integrating the clusters into one cluster; and a means 27 for selecting, from the differences in expressions among the clusters and situations where the differences appeared, differences effective in the generalization of the expressions performed by the template generation means, so as to generate generalized knowledge including the differences and conditions for applying the differences. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
