<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an NRD guide antenna which is installed at an optional position on a pair of conductor plates forming an NRD guide, maintains antenna characteristics such as antenna gain, etc. and realizes a small size/thin type structure. <P>SOLUTION: The antenna comprises an NRD guide having a dielectric line 3 held between a pair of parallel conductor plates 1, 2 with a spacing of less than 1/2 a wavelength for propagating electromagnetic waves, a waveguide 4 placed near the terminal end of the dielectric line 3 for forming a waveguide line, a transfer line 5 for transferring the electromagnetic waves with the top end extending to approximately the middle of the waveguide line to electrically connecting the dielectric lines 3 to the waveguide line, a dielectric chip 7 over the top of an opening 1a formed in the conductor plate 1 in the same shape as the sectional shape of the waveguide lineat a position corresponding to the waveguide lineon the conductor plate 1, and a conductor patch 8 thereon. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
