PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save the power of terminals in a network using a PLC (power line communication). SOLUTION: A network system includes a server and a plurality of terminals, communication between the terminals can be performed only through the server 2000, the server 2000 receives from a terminal A1000 a calling request and communication data to a terminal C1200 and stores the calling request and communication data, and transmits the stored communication data to the terminal C1200 in response to a receiving request from the terminal C1200. The terminals include a communication circuit for communicating with the server 2000, a first control circuit for changing a self-active state to an inactive state to reduce power consumption if no calling request to a second terminal is provided, a second control circuit for changing the inactive state to a normal state, a transmitting circuit for transmitting a receiving request to the server 2000 in response to the change to the normal state, and a receiving circuit for receiving the communication data on the basis of response from the server when the server 2000 stores the data to be received.
