摘要 <p>An implantation material for an organism which has a coating layer being excellent in adhesiveness and having biological activities, characterized in that the adhesiveness to the base material of the implantation material and the compatibility with an organism of the coating are enhanced by the formation of a composite coating comprising titanium and a titanium oxide and containing an anatase phase of the titanium oxide in the vicinity of the surface of the implantation material, through the exposure of a powder comprising titanium or a titanium alloy as a primary component to a heat plasma containing oxygen and the coating of the above base material with the resultant powder; and a method for preparing the implantation material for an organism. The above implantation material for an organism can be prepared through the formation of a coating composition for an implantation material for an organism by the utilization of existing facilities for coating a bioactive ceramic, and further without the use of a highly hazardous chemical.</p>
