<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit of an air conditioner capable of miniaturizing a fan scroll structural body and supporting a fan motor properly. <P>SOLUTION: This indoor unit of the air conditioner is provided with a blowing fan, the fan motor, the fan scroll structural body 78a, and a drain pan structural body 80a. The fan motor is arranged on a side of the blowing fan and rotates and drives the blowing fan. The fan scroll structural body 78a has a fan storage part 10a and a lower support part 21a. The fan storage part 10a stores the blowing fan and the fan motor and is positioned below the center of rotation of the fan motor. The lower support part 21a is integrally formed with the fan storage part 10a and supports a lower protruding part 27 of the fan motor. The drain pan structural body 80a has drain pans 81 to 83 and a front and rear support part 23a and is formed separately from the fan scroll structural body 78a. The drain pans 81 to 83 are arranged adjacent to the front, rear, and side of the fan storage part 10a.
