PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide structure with an optical path conversion component which can realize efficient transmission of an optical signal and is also of low costs. SOLUTION: The optical waveguide structure 40 with an optical path conversion component includes a main surface 45, a core 43, clads 42, 44, and a hole part 46. The core 43 as an optical path in which the optical signal propagates is extended along the main surface 45. The clads 42, 44 surround the core 43. The hole part 46 is positioned on the way or at the end part of the core 43, and is open on the main surface 45. The optical waveguide structure 40 is provided with the optical path conversion component 51 having an optical path conversion component main body 52, and the optical path conversion component main body 52 has a structure which surrounds a core-like part 57 forming a part of the optical path with clad-like parts 56. 58, and is also inserted into the hole part 46.
