PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a radical-polymerizable sulfuric ester salt, by which a neutralization reaction or a salt exchange reaction can be carried out, while inhibiting the hydrolysis of the sulfuric ester group and inhibiting the production of a polymer. SOLUTION: This method for producing the radical-polymerizable sulfuric ester alkali metal salt (A1) is characterized by adding an un-neutralized radical-polymerizable sulfuric ester (A) to an alkali metal carbonate dispersion comprising an alkali metal carbonate (B), an organic solvent (Q) and water to neutralize the sulfuric ester (A) or by adding one or more salts (A2) selected from the group consisting of a radical-polymerizable sulfuric ester ammonium salt, organic amine salt, quaternary ammonium salt and alkaline earth metal salt to the dispersion to carry out the ester interchange.
