<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system wherein degree of freedom in the case of connecting a peripheral unit to an image forming apparatus can be enhanced and specifications of the peripheral unit can properly be reflected on a display apparatus, an operation unit or a user interface apparatus or to provide the image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming system includes the image forming apparatus 10, the peripheral unit 12, and the user interface apparatus 14.
