<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in a conventional door that when a door opening/closing part is installed at one position, persons gather at the opening/closing part when the persons pass the door from both sides and they cannot smoothly pass each other. <P>SOLUTION: This automatic door comprises doors opening in right and left sides and a sensor detecting that the persons come within a specified range. When the sensor detects that the persons come within the specified range, the automatic door automatically opens in the right and left directions.
