<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication equipment terminal which is automatically updated to new firmware at the time of execution of information communication, achieves highly efficient information communication, and is full of conveniences. <P>SOLUTION: When a communication equipment terminal of a communicated party is connected via a network, version information on the firmware used by the communication equipment terminals on both sides is communicated. When the versions of the firmware used by both of the communication equipment terminals are different from each other, the communication equipment terminal which uses a new version of firmware reads the new version of firmware from a flash ROM 5, transmits it to the communication equipment terminal using the old version of firmware. The communication equipment terminal which has received the new version of firmware transfers the firmware to the flash ROM 5 and rewrites the firmware of the flash ROM 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
