PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and effectively prevent a deterioration in image recording from being caused by thickening of ink in an ink tank of an inkjet printer. SOLUTION: This inkjet printer 1 is equipped with a recording head 6 which is provided with a nozzle for ejecting the ink 8 to a recording medium P, and the ink tank 10 for storing the ink 8 to be supplied to the recording head 6. In the inkjet printer 1, a moisture retention liquid tank 16, wherein a moisture retention liquid 15 is stored and which communicates with the ink tank 10, is provided, and the capacity of the tank 16 is as high as/higher than that of the ink tank 10.
