PARTICLE DETECTOR

摘要

A particle detector the threshold (minimum measurable particle diameter) of which is automatically set depending on the kind of the medium of fluid. The particle detector is used for detecting a particle by receiving the scattering light produced when the particle in the fluid is illuminated. The particle detector comprises a noise sensor (3) for sensing noise due to light scattered by the fluid and a threshold setter (4) for automatically setting a threshold for enabling detection of a particle having a particle diameter larger than that of a particle corresponding to the output signal of the noise sensor (3).
