A locking device of an assembly walking stick is provided to be easily assembled and disassembled, which is not changed in length even though load is applied to the stick. The locking device of an assembly stick includes: an upper portion connecting pipe(11), a lower portion connecting pipe(12) which has smaller diameter than that of the upper portion connecting pipe(11) to be inserted into the inner portion of the upper portion connecting pipe(11), an engaging unit(20), the lower end of which is fixed to the lower portion connecting pipe(12) and the upper end of which is inserted into the inner portion of the upper portion connecting pipe(11), a moving unit(30) which is installed on the engaging unit(20) to be lifted, a locking unit(40) which contacts the inner surface of the upper portion connecting pipe(11) according to the lift of the moving unit(30) and a friction pad(46) formed by material which has bigger friction coefficient than materials of the upper portion connecting pipe(11) and the moving unit(30).
