Air-bag vent valve

A valve for an air-bag comprises a fixed component 1 having a mount 2 and defining at least one aperture 5 and a movable component 6 having at least one aperture 11. The moveable component 6 is configured to be exposed to pressure from gas within the air-bag and is slidably engaged with the fixed component 1. The valve has an initial configuration in which the aperture(s) 5 in the fixed component 1 is (are) offset from the aperture(s) 11 in the movable component 6. The moveable component 6 is moveable relative to the fixed component 1 under the action of gas pressure within the air-bag to a configuration in which at least part of the aperture(s) 5 in the fixed component 1 is (are) co-aligned with the aperture(s) 11 in the movable component 6. The valve may be biased into its initial configuration by a spring 12.
