摘要 A radiation tomography apparatus is provided to enhance image quality by preventing degradation of contrast and generation of artifacts even when a mass amount of scattered radiation is generated. An X-ray CT(Computed Tomography) apparatus(1) includes a scanning gantry(2), an operation console(3), and an imaging table(4). The scanning gantry(2) includes an X-ray tube(20), an X-ray tube moving section(21), a collimator(22), an X-ray detection array(23), a data collection section(24), an X-ray controller(25), a collimator controller(26), a rotation section(27), and a rotation controller(28). The collimator(22) adjusts an irradiation range. Based on a control signal from the X-ray controller(25), the X-ray tube(20) irradiates an X-ray with a specified intensity through the collimator(22) onto the imaging area on an imaging object. The X-ray tube moving section(21) moves the irradiation center of the X-ray tube(20) along a body axis direction of the imaging object placed on the imaging table(4). The collimator(22) shields the X-ray irradiated from the X-ray tube(20) in a channel direction and the body axis direction based on the control signal. X-ray detection elements in the X-ray detection array(23) detect the X-ray to generate detection data.
