摘要 Provided is a high temperature fuel cell equipped with a carrier structure having an anode layer at the fuel side wherein the electrolyte layer applied to the carrier structure is maintained in an air-tight state during redox cycles. The high temperature fuel cell is equipped with a carrier structure(1) having an anode layer at fuel side, wherein the carrier structure is for a thin air-tight type sintered solid electrolyte layer(2). The carrier structure includes a heterogeneous phase(1b) and cavities formed by the heterogeneous phase in the shape of macropores and micropores. The heterogeneous phase includes a first partial phase formed of large and small ceramic particles and a second partial phase formed of a metal, in which redox cycles are carried out. The first partial phase is present in the homogeneous phase as islands and the second partial phase forms an electroconductive interconnection. The large and small ceramic particles have such a quantitative ratio as to form an adhesive burr composite by which the carrier structure is stabilized. Additionally, metric characteristics of the carrier structure is maintained on the interface with the electrolyte layer by the above-mentioned stabilization, so that gas impermeability of the electrolyte layer is not changed by variations in volume of the second partial phase during redox cycles.
