PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for securing safety by automatically actuating without increasing burden of a flight attendant when an airframe suddenly and drastically moves upwards and downwards, and restraining upward and downward movements of a service cart without change of the structure and design of the airframe. SOLUTION: This service cart safety device comprises a sensor for detecting drastic upward and downward movement of an airframe with a combination of an inertia member and a spring for engaging a part of a cart with a fitting of a cabin seat to prevent the cart from lifting, and a mechanism for projecting plates on both right and left sides of the cart using detection signals of the sensor as a trigger.
