<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a video output device without using a remote controller or a control panel. <P>SOLUTION: The controller for the video output device includes a means for detecting a gaze point on the video output device through the use of a visual line detecting device, etc.; a means for reporting the detected gaze point to the controller; a means for detecting whether the reported gaze point is within a control performance range or not; a means for comparing the reported gaze point with a gaze point reported last time; a means for determining that the compared gaze point exists in the same control performance range for a fixed time; and a means for reporting control contents to be performed in the case of existence in the same range to the video output device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
