PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electrophotographic transfer paper which causes no running trouble, no blisters, and little curling and to provide an image forming method. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic transfer paper has image receiving faces on both sides of a base material, each image receiving face being formed from a coating layer comprising a pigment and an adhesive as its main constituents. The paper is coated paper whose basis weight (JIS P-8124) is 40 g/m<SP>2</SP>or more but equal to or less than 100 g/m<SP>2</SP>. The base material contains organic synthetic fiber whose tensile elastic modulus 25°C is 20,000 N/m<SP>2</SP>or more. The contents of the organic synthetic fiber is 0.5 wt.% or more but 20 wt.% or less in pulp fiber. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
