PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of distortion between symbols by providing a peripheral control loop having a functional range which is different from that of a temporal equalizer and a temporal discriminator detecting inactive areas of the estimator of each peripheral equipment. CONSTITUTION: Ports OU-EXCLUSIF 41-43 constitutes the temporal discriminator 40 of an objective passage. The ports 41 and 42 respectively receive symbols X-1 and ex and symbols x+1 and ex . The output sides of the ports 41 and 42 are connected to the input side of the port 43 and constitute the verification signal of an estimator 24 which is the output signal Eph of the port 43 and operates temporal equalizers 20 and 24. When the estimator 24 receives the signal Eph, the estimator 24 verifies the change of a coefficient. They sends a symbol Ep to the quadrature phase estimator 24 which operates the temporal equalizer 20 and the symbol Ep fixes the quadrature phase center efficiency of the equalizer 20 when a carrier restoring device is in an active state. Therefore, the interaction between the carrier restoring device and a quadrature phase controller is removed.
