PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heatsink capable of being downsized with a greater extent of heat radiation and excellent heat radiation effects. SOLUTION: The heatsink has a heatsink body 1 and a base 2 thermally in contact with the heat sink body 1, and the heatsink body 1 is obtained such that a knitting tape comprising knitted metal wires with good heat conductivities such as aluminum and copper is formed, a preform is obtained by winding the knitting tapes, compression forming is applied to the by using the width direction of the knitting tape as a pressing axis, and the metal wires are constituted of porous compression-formed products three-dimensionally entangled with one another.
