PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological authentication apparatus which can be always stably be operated without lowering authentication precision even when the biological information of a person to be newly registered is similar to that of an existing user. SOLUTION: In the biological authentication apparatus using biometrics such as face image or fingerprint image, in the case of newly registering dictionary information, all dictionary information, which are already registered, are collated. When there are the dictionary information similar to the newly registered dictionary information at the predetermined range or more, similar factors are extracted and displayed visually.
