摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the shape of a particularly small recording mark by optimizing the materials of the respective layers at the circumference of a noble metal oxide layer included in a super high-resolution type optical recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The optical recording medium 10 is equipped with a supporting substrate 11, a light transmission layer 12, a first dielectric layer 31 arranged between the light transmission layer 12 and the supporting substrate 11, the noble metal nitride layer 23, a second dielectric layer 32, a light absorption layer 22, a third dielectric layer 33, and a reflection layer 21. The second dielectric layer 32 consists of ZnS or a mixture composed of ZnS and SiO<SB>2</SB>as a principal component, in which the ratio of ZnSD is set at 60 to 100mol% of the sum of ZnS and SiO<SB>2</SB>. The materials of the second dielectric layer 32 described above simultaneously has high hardness and flexibility and has high thermal conductivity and therefore the balance between the thermal conductivity and the harness of the film is improved and the formation of the small recording mark with the correct shape is made possible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
