PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for transferring a heavy object having a fringe part being non-parallel with the direction of transfer continuously up to a predetermined position efficiently and safely. SOLUTION: In this continuous transfer device for the heavy object 10 capable of loading and transferring the heavy object on a endless track belt 22 of the heavy object transfer device 11, a load receiving slider 40 movable in the direction different from the direction of transfer of the endless track belt 22 and restoring to its original position when no load is applied is provided on an upper face of a track belt unit 29 constituting the endless track belt 22. A position of a movable carrier 50 on which the heavy object transfer device 11 is loaded can be adjusted by a rail clamp device 54 and a lateral moving jack 53 along a rail 52 provided in the direction different from the direction of transfer of the heavy object 10 in accordance with transfer of the heavy object 10.
