<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find out an active component having excellent cell activating action, bleaching action, hyaluronic acid production promoting action, collagen production promoting action and antioxidation action and to use the component as a cell activation agent, a bleaching agent, a hyaluronic acid production promoting agent, a collagen production promoting agent, an antioxidation agent and an external preparation for skin for antiaging use. <P>SOLUTION: Extract of a plant of the family Leucobryaceae having excellent cell activating action, bleaching action, hyaluronic acid production promoting action, collagen production promoting action and antioxidation action is used as a cell activation agent, a bleaching agent, a hyaluronic acid production promoting agent, a collagen production promoting agent and an antioxidation agent. An external preparation for skin for antiaging use is produced by compounding an external preparation for skin with the extract of the plant of the family Leucobryaceae.
