<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective HDD system for providing portable electronic equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The HDD system is provided with one or more MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical System:minute electromechanical system) spindle motors, and one or more magnetic heads. Each spindle motor includes rotors 127, 210 and a stator 207. the rotors 127, 210 have a magnetic film and the head 211 constituted so as to communicate data with the magnetic film. The rotors 127, 210 are formed by using MEMS technology.
