<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional droplet discharge head preserving apparatus which can simultaneously pack preserved liquids different from each other independently in a channel in each head in relation to a head unit loaded with a plurality of functional liquid discharge heads, and the like. <P>SOLUTION: The preserving apparatus has an inlet connection attachment 21 having a plurality of connection parts 24 respectively connected to functional liquid inlets 62 of the functional droplet discharge heads 3, a nozzle connection attachment 206 having a plurality of connection parts 222 connected to each nozzle 68, and a preserved liquid packing means 204 which packs the preserved liquid in the channel in the head through the inlet connection attachment 21 and the nozzle connection attachment 206.
