PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input operating device which facilitates manual carving of a workpiece material. SOLUTION: When the operator moves a pointer on a platen of the input device 2 along an X-Y plane, a tool of a carving machine 1 is moved along the X-Y plane. When the operator presses down the pointer in a Z axis direction, the tool of the carving machine 1 is moved in the Z axis direction, thereby carrying out carving of the workpiece material. Then by displaying a track of the pointer on the platen of the input device 2 and a screen of a PC 6, the operator is notified of a carving state of a seal. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
