<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive a motor 6 without generating a torque ripple, even if the offset value of a phase current detected value which is detected by current-detecting circuits 41 to 43 varies by temperature changes, during operation in an electric power steering device using a brushless motor. <P>SOLUTION: For all phases of a motor drive circuit 50, the current-detecting circuits 41 to 43 are provided. A motor control unit 20 is equipped with a correction value calculating means and a motor current value correcting means, and the correction value calculating means calculates a correction value, by dividing the sum of the motor current value based on detection signals detected by the current-detecting circuits 41 to 43 for all the phases by a quantity of the phases of the motor 6. The motor current correcting means corrects the motor current value, by reducing the calculated correction value from the motor current value.
