PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a confocal microscope that eliminates the need for optical adjustment of an optical system at every wavelength band area and each one by using a fiber enabling optical propagation in a wide wavelength band area. SOLUTION: A laser beam from a laser unit L having at least two lasers for generating light of different wavelengths is condensed on a testpiece 21 through an objective lens 19, and also two-dimensionally scans the testpiece 21 by using a galvano-mirror unit 10. PCF 7 being arranged with a number of air holes is used in clads arranged in the periphery of a core as the fiber which propagates the light guided from the laser unit L to the galvano-mirror unit 10.
