PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a silicone composition for coating which can be coated as a thick film with little shrinkage during heat curing, and provides a coating film which is excellent in adhesion to a metal plate, transparency, lightfastness, heat-resistance, bendability and hardness. SOLUTION: This silicone composition for coating comprises a polyorganosiloxane comprising (a) at least one polyorganosiloxane, an average composition formula of its mixture being represented by (R<SP>1</SP>R<SP>2</SP>R<SP>3</SP>SiO<SB>1</SB>/<SB>2</SB>)<SB>M</SB>-(R<SP>4</SP>R<SP>5</SP>SiO<SB>2</SB>/<SB>2</SB>)<SB>D</SB>-(R<SP>6</SP>SiO<SB>3/2</SB>)<SB>T</SB>-(SiO<SB>4/2</SB>)<SB>Q</SB>, and an effective amount of (b) a catalyst for addition reaction. In the above formula, R<SP>1</SP>to R<SP>6</SP>are each selected from same or different organic groups, hydroxy group or hydrogen atom, wherein at least one of R<SP>1</SP>to R<SP>6</SP>comprises a hydrocarbon group having a multiple bond that can undergo addition reaction, and at least one of R<SP>1</SP>to R<SP>6</SP>is an aromatic group that may be the same or different; and M, D, T and Q that show the proportion of each unit are each a number from 0 to less than 1, wherein M+D+T+Q=1 and Q+T>0.
