PURPOSE: A method for retransmitting a broadcast short message in a mobile communication terminal is provided to automatically generate a transmission failure telephone number list during a broadcast transmission, thereby simply retransmitting transmission-failed telephone numbers only. CONSTITUTION: A controller checks whether a short message transmission key is inputted(501). If so, the controller displays a sentence edition window on a display window(503), and displays a short message inputted by a user(507). The controller checks whether an OK key is inputted(509). If so, the controller displays an "input a number of other party" window(511), and displays a number inputted by the user(513). The controller checks whether the OK key is inputted(515). If so, the controller displays an "input a contact number" window(517), and displays a number inputted by the user(519). The controller checks whether the OK key is inputted(521). If so, the controller stores the number of telephone numbers inputted on the window, and initializes variables(523). The controller displays a window which shows a transmission process(525).
