PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension system of an automobile easily controllably suppressing vibration and its control method. SOLUTION: This suspension system of an automobile comprises a plurality of springs, a plurality of dampers corresponding to the springs, a plurality of driving devices, a sensor unit, and a controller. The equation of motion of the suspension system is expressed by a linear suspension determinant with the degree of freedom n including a viscous damping matrix and made non-simultaneous, a drive force f (t) is calculated so that the vibration of the suspension is decreased optimally, and the driving devices are driven with the calculated value.
