<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly recover the performance of a fuel cell when the performance is deteriorated, or when a disorder of gas flow due to the deterioration of the performance happens. <P>SOLUTION: In the fuel cell system 10, anode exhaust gas is mixed to hydrogen gas to be supplied to an anode of the fuel cell 22, and an increase of the density of impurities in the hydrogen gas is restrained by opening and closing a switching valve 66 with a prescribed time interval. In the fuel cell 22, when an increase of pressure loss as a result of disorder of the hydrogen gas flow is detected, a control part 70 makes a hydrogen pump 65 perform a pulsating operation that continuously increases and decreases the driving amounts of a hydrogen pump as a movement of releasing water obstruction in a hydrogen gas flow path. When the increase of the pressure loss is not canceled by the pulsating operation, the control part 70 controls the switching valve 66 so as to prolong an opened period per a unit period as a movement for removing the impurities in the hydrogen gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
