PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a layer having a medium refractive index and a layer having a high refractive index suitable for an antireflective layered product; to provide an antireflective layered product suitable for mass production and excellent in optical characteristics, physical characteristics and light resistance; and to provide a polarizing plate and an image display device subjected to antireflection treatment.

SOLUTION: The composition having a medium refractive index contains (a) inorganic fine particles with a core/shell structure with an average diameter of 10-200 nm, (b) a metallic compound, and (c) an ionizing radiation curable resin, and has a refractive index of 1.55-1.75.
