<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drink packed into a container, containing catechins in a high concentration, reduced in a bitter taste and a rough taste, suitable for drinking for a long period, excellent in stability of the bitter taste and the rough taste, and excellent in smoothness when swallowed, and further stable in a color tone for a long period even when filled into the transparent container and stored at a high temperature. <P>SOLUTION: This drink packed into the container is prepared by mixing a green tea extract thereinto and has a pH of 2 to 6, wherein the drink contains components (A) to (E) as follows: (A) non-polymeric catechins in an amount of 0.01-1.0 wt%; (B) quinic acid or its salt; (C) a sweetener in an amount of 0.0001-20 wt%; (D) sodium ion in an amount of 0.001-0.5 wt%; and (E) potassium ion in an amount of 0.001-0.2 wt%, and the quinic acid or its salt (B) and the non-polymeric catechins (A) are contained in a weight ratio [(B)/(A)] of 0.0001-0.5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
