摘要 PURPOSE: A method and device for obtaining electronic information related to a transmission rate in a network are provided to solve a problem that when a communication link is continuously and frequently implemented between the same nodes of a network, a maximum transmission rate must be repeatedly determined only to increase the amount of calculation. CONSTITUTION: One transmission link exists between two nodes of a network. A PHY(Physical layer) rate determining unit(48) obtains a PHY rate of each node over the transmission link according to an electronic method. A rate determining unit(46) determines a minimum value of each PHY rate of the nodes over the transmission link according to the electronic method. A controller(47) determines a PHY transmission rate with respect to one sub-set of the transmission link in the network based on the obtained minimum value of the PHY rates of the nodes over the transmission link according to the electronic method. An optimizing unit(50) determines a PHY transmission rate with respect to another sub-set of the transmission link based on one of the obtained PHY rates of nodes over the transmission link of one sub-set according to the electronic method. A topology determining unit(49) has electronic topology information obtained related to a topology of the network.
